WELCOME TO FTL LABS
Faster Than Light Research & Development
A laboratory being built from the ground up — one publication, one prototype, one breakthrough at a time. We are engineering the technologies that will define the next century of human capability.
Research Programs
FOUR DOMAINS. ONE DIRECTION.
Every research program at FTL Labs is chosen because it sits at the boundary of what is currently possible.
COMMUNICATION
Beyond the speed of light, information must find another way.
Investigating non-classical information transfer mechanisms, quantum entanglement-based signaling architectures, and the theoretical boundaries of communication at relativistic velocities. The goal is not faster radio — it is a fundamentally different channel.
PROPULSION
The universe is not a wall. It is a medium.
Exploring exotic propulsion concepts including field-based momentum transfer, vacuum energy interactions, and non-Newtonian thrust mechanisms. We are not building rockets. We are asking whether rockets are the right question.
ENERGY
Every breakthrough in propulsion requires a breakthrough in energy first.
Researching high-density energy storage, novel conversion mechanisms, and the theoretical upper bounds of energy extraction from physical systems. The laboratory's hardware programs depend on solving energy first.
COMPUTING
The simulations must run faster than the physics they model.
Developing custom computing architectures optimized for physics simulation, sensor fusion, and real-time signal processing. The Mikros and Makros development boards are the first hardware output of this program.
Funding Model
HOW THE LABORATORY WILL BE BUILT
FTL Labs is not funded by venture capital or government grants. It is being built through a self-sustaining ecosystem of interconnected ventures — each one generating revenue that flows back into the laboratory.
BOOKS & FICTION
Metatron Chronicles
Science fiction grounded in real physics — the narrative arm of the FTL Labs universe.
GAMES & SOFTWARE
Light Speed Studios
Interactive experiences and simulation tools built on FTL Labs research.
SENSOR PLATFORM
Metatron Research
Commercial sensor hardware and research instrumentation.
DEVELOPMENT BOARDS
Mikros / Makros
Custom computing hardware for embedded systems and physics simulation.
OPERATING SYSTEM
KairOS
A purpose-built OS for real-time sensor fusion and laboratory computing.
RESEARCH LABORATORY
FTL Labs
The center of the flywheel — where all revenue streams converge into breakthrough research.
Research Integrity
THE RULES OF THE LAB
These are not aspirational values. They are operational constraints. Every research decision at FTL Labs is evaluated against these principles.
Reproducibility First
No result is accepted until it can be independently reproduced. Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence — and extraordinary documentation.
Publish the Failures
Negative results are published with the same rigor as positive ones. The field advances faster when it knows what does not work.
No Classified Research
All FTL Labs research is published openly. We do not accept funding that requires secrecy. The knowledge belongs to everyone.
Physics Over Narrative
The mathematics is the authority. When theory and intuition conflict, theory wins. When data and theory conflict, data wins.
Cite Everything
Every claim traces back to a source. Every source is evaluated for credibility. The citation chain is part of the research.
Acknowledge Uncertainty
Error bars are not weaknesses. They are precision. A result without uncertainty quantification is not a result.
Long-Term Thinking
We are building for decades, not quarters. Research that takes twenty years to bear fruit is still worth doing.
The Lab Serves the Work
Revenue, reputation, and recognition are means to an end. The end is the research. Everything else is infrastructure.
These principles are not negotiable. They are the foundation on which every other decision is made.
